AUSSIEPICS

So what's this about?.. Basically it's band called Skipping Girl Vinegar. I'm never sure whether to leave the spaces in that, hyphenate it, or just abbreviate the entire thing to SGV. Not a big deal. The band is a big deal however, aside from Rave Reviews, Triple-J cred and Rage airtime, there's a whole other side to this story. Back when we needed a lacky at work we hired this gangly uni kid who'd had a little bit of experience and seemed quite keen. A few years later and some storys that don't need relating and we pretty much made him the boss so that we could get on with the actual work part of being at work. It's turned out pretty well, but now he's telling me which bands to go see? .. His names Lang, so this whole story will make (some) sense once you work out who the band members are.

This is the band (below) at one our towns grand establishments, doing what they do. Cheers ..

.. footnote: Went to see them again but didn't take the camera, just to enjoy the show this time.

I think somewhere along the line the phrase used was "Campfire-Indie", although at times it would be a fairly rocking campfire.

Door Prize winner No. 1, a free CD to (missed it) who seems to have been
responsible for a lot of the CD sales so far.
Me I'd run out of cash but H grabbed the CD for only $28 the next
day in the city. Is it bad that I ripped it straight to the iPhone?

We will call this girl "Major Winner" for winning both the CD and the super-amazing "sale of the Century" pack.

Am I allowed to pun? .. Cousin from town onstage to "rap" up the evening.
Damn I'm bad at catching names on the fly though, I should take a recorder everywhere.
