Night Trees. As you can tell, I'm in town and using the local lighting to add foreground colour.
I'm suprised at the intensity of the colour I got.

Lets go straight up at the milky way, leaving the tops of some trees in for contrast.
No suprise that I didn't, but if I 'had' caught a meteor in shot I would have been pretty happy about it.

So, referring to above comment, why not have another go. These are only 60 second exposures
but I might be lucky. .. hmm, ok.. not this time.

or this time.. rats, give up on that hope I think.

try a portrait shot,
you should always have one or two in each series, you never know
what space someone might want to fill.

Autumn at Night : This is the result of a hunt around for the location that will give me the most
colour, yet still have an astronomical quality about it. I need an even wider lens I think. 11 is good, but I could go lower.
All of these are at iso 800 to reduce star travel, with the aperture as wide as it gets (on any lens I can afford anyway).
offers of cheap, good, 2.8's or lower gratefully considered.
