A day at the races, 2011.
I had an unexpected opportunity to visit the V8SC / L&H 500 using borrowed passes from
Sitech , thanks Simmo.
Phillip Island Race Curcuit is a great place for taking pics, we walked most of the outside (There's a free bus that took us some of the way). Saturday was also good to us as there were enough people to keep the atmoshpere, but few enough that we could usually find a space to shoot from without any problems. Great to catch up with a Justin, and Polly, who I only ever see trackside these days. If the on-track activity wanes temporarily, there is always the stunning setting (and thousands of seagulls) to divert the lens.
PS .. While linking stuff up I found the the original JB, "John Bowe" is on the Westrac site, bonus points for Westrac then.

Frosty's car. Mark (Frosty) Winterbottom, with Rich (Steve Richards) as co-driver for the enduro event.
For various reasons, not the least is the order the photo's came off the card, I'm starting with a few shots of
FPR cars.

(Update.. Will and Luke stood on the Podium in 3rd after a pretty fiercely contested event.)

Car 47, Slade and Guant.
You'd have to rate Tim Slade as a chance at the steps (as I write this, Sundays race
hasn't started.) The longer he's on track the more cars he passes and enduro's are the long races of course.

I just pulled back for a different shot, but mentioning
"the Enforcer", I've been totally eclipsed by the photo's H' took of Russell Ingall out behind the pits. I hope she puts
them up somewhere so I can link you to them.

Car 12, Dean Fiori and Michael Patrizi
Given Deans commitment to online comments about coffee I'm suprised this car isn't sponsored by something to do with coffee, maybe
Delonghi can up their sponsorship from the Aussiecars series.

one of the vodaphone cars.
The Vodaphone team eventually ran the race out with a one-two finish, Whincup coming in (well) after Lowndes this time.

Paul Dumbrell's Car 55.
Paul Dumbrell's Car 55. I can never see that without thinking of the Blues Brothers movie, "this is car 55, we're in a truck"..if you don't know
what I'm on about, don't worry, I may be certifiable anyway.

I'll let the final shot for now be this Westrac
and Sitech sponsored car of Dean Fiore
since I used their tickets to get all this.
